Sourangsu received his Bachelors degree in Chemistry from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, Rahara in 2010. He received his M.Sc degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Calcutta in 2012. Subsequently, he joined PhD with Sagnik Dey at Centre for Atmospheric Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 2013 and received the degree in 2019. His primary research interest is to quantify impact of particulate matter on human health in India using multi-pronged modelling techniques. He was a Nehru-Fulbright fellow at School of Public Health, University of California Berkeley with Kirk R. Smith. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher with Jos Lelieveld at Department of Atmospheric Chemistry, Max Planck Institute for Chemistry, Mainz.
