About the Event
Would you like to explore the research being conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research and the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry? Are you looking for a position to work on a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral thesis on cutting-edge research topics in the fields of chemistry, materials science, life sciences, or physics? Would you like to network with other doctoral students and launch collaborative projects between academic institutions?
Then come and visit us and talk to doctoral students and group leaders at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research and the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry!
The Student Open House 2026 is a peer-to-peer networking event for bachelor’s and master’s students as well as doctoral candidates from universities and research institutes in the Rhine-Main region.
Join us for an evening full of interesting conversations, free drinks and food, and an exciting glimpse into our science!
Event Highlights
- Poster Session: Take a look at the research areas of the various departments and at posters on specific research projects by PhD students and group leaders. You might just find your perfect thesis topic or a future collaboration partner
- Lab Tours: Experience research at MPIP up close. Various labs will be presented by PhD students or group leaders to showcase MPIP’s research activities and our specialized equipment.
- Meet the researchers: Chat with MPIP PhD students and group leaders and learn more about their research projects and their day-to-day work at MPIP.
- Free food and drinks will be provided
