Main Focus

My research uses theoretical and computational chemistry to investigate molecular processes in atmospheric and interfacial environments. At the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry, I study the molecular mechanisms underlying chemical reactions at atmospheric interfaces and atmospheric new particle formation.

My broader research interests include photochemical reactions at aqueous interfaces, chemical reaction mechanisms, fundamental physical chemistry (particularly the physical and chemical properties of water), and molecular simulations of environmentally relevant processes.
