Main Focus

Molecular transport in atmospheric organic aerosols, with a focus on combining molecular dynamics simulations and kinetic modelling to investigate the relationship between molecular structure, transport properties and aerosol evolution.

Curriculum Vitae

Panagiota Siachouli is a postdoctoral researcher in the Chemical Kinetics and Reaction Mechanisms group at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry. She has a background in mathematics, with a degree from the University of Crete and a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Utrecht University. She completed her PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Patras under the supervision of Spyros Pandis and Vlasis Mavrantzas. Her doctoral research focused on molecular dynamics simulations of atmospheric organic aerosol components, particularly molecular diffusion and glass transition. In 2026, she joined the Multiphase Chemistry Department at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry as a postdoctoral researcher.
