Privacy notice regarding the Institute’s Scientific seminars and other online events
Given the limited opportunities for in-person lectures and to make the Institute’s seminars available to a wider audience, we offer some seminars as purely online events or in a hybrid format.
Would you like to be invited to the Institute’s publicly accessible scientific seminars? If so, please send an email to the following mailing address: presse@mpic.de.
1. Purpose of data processing
- We use the Zoom digital event platform for the event. By using the access link, you consent to using this platform. The Max Planck Society has signed the necessary agreements with Zoom for this purpose. The link to join the lecture will be sent to you with the invitation.
- Video recording including audio
- Individual lectures may be recorded to make them accessible to a wider audience. Such lectures are marked with “Lecture will be recorded.” In addition, the moderator will inform the audience about the recording again at the beginning of the lecture. Only the presenter and moderator will be recorded. The recording will begin with an announcement after the welcome, and will end before the Q&A session. Neither the audience's video nor audio will be included in the recording.
3.Video Distribution
- The recorded presentations mentioned in section 2 are stored on the Institute’s server and are accessible only to Institute staff or upon request to presse@mpic.de.
2. Retention period
The original files are kept permanently for internal documentation purposes.
3. Principles and information
The recorded online lectures take place virtually. By clicking on the link to a lecture, attendees consent to the data processing described here.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact presse@mpic.de or the Data Protection Officer of the Max Planck Society at datenschutz@mpg.de .
