Please note that an additional accommodation tax of €2 to €3 per person per night, imposed by the City of Mainz, is payable (see accommodation tax).

All utilities such as electricity, water, broadcasting fees and internet access are included.Also fresh towels and bed linen, which you can get at the laundry room on Thursdays.
Not included are costs for the replacement of cleaning or hygiene articles for private use (e.g. toilet paper, cleaning sponges, washing-up liquid).
The broadcasting fees for the flat are included in the rent.
If you receive a payment request from the contribution service ("ARD ZDF Deutschlandradio"), please contact the guesthouse administration. They will issue a confirmation letter that the broadcasting fee for the apartmet are being paid by the institutes.
Please note, however, that you must pay the broadcasting fees as soon as you move into your own flat.
The City of Mainz will levy an accommodation tax effective July 1, 2026.
The accommodation tax is a local tax imposed by the City of Mainz on all temporary paid overnight stays that are not intended to meet a person's primary housing needs.
Individuals who are registered at the address of the accommodation establishment as their sole residence, primary residence, or secondary residence in accordance with the German Federal Registration Act (Bundesmeldegesetz) are exempt from paying the accommodation tax, regardless of the length of their stay. Invoices
You will receive 1 invoice approximately 1 week before departure

Invoices will be issued at the end of each month for the current month.
The invoice(s) will be sent by email.

Card payment is unfortunately not possible.
Invoices are payable immediately upon receipt.

Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. - 12 noon; 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 12 noon
ATMs are located on the university campus, e.g. next to the canteen "Zentralmensa" (campus plan).
