Check-in and Check-out Procedures
In general, check-in is possible from 3 p.m.
Exceptions are sometimes possible. Please contact Guesthouse Admin to ask about possibilities.
Please note that the apartment building does not have a reception area.
You will get the key at the reception of your MPI (depending which MPI you are visiting). For a single-apartment, you will get one key. For a double-apartment, you have the possibility to get a second key.
Please note that you have to pay a deposit of 25,- EUR in cash for each key. You will be reimbursed when you return the key at the end of your stay.
Arrival outside the opening hours of the reception
If you arrive outside the opening hours or on a weekend or bank holiday, please contact the colleagues or the secretary of your department to organise the hand-over of the key.
Access to the apartment
The door to the apartment can only be opened with the chip key you received at the reception of your MPI. Please be careful with it and make sure you don’t lose it.
To open the door, please follow these steps:
1) Press the doorknob. A yellow light signal appears.
2) Hold the chip key against the doorknob. A green light signal appears and you can hear the door unlocking.
3) Turn the doorknob.
4) The door is open.
Please leave the apartment by 10 a.m. and return the key to the reception of your MPI immediately.
Please leave the apartment in a clean and proper state.
Please clean the dishes, dispose of any leftovers and take out the trash. The rest will be taken care of by our cleaning personnel.
Should you leave the apartment in an overly dirty state, we reserve the right to charge you for the extra cleaning.
Returning the key
Please return the key to the reception of your MPI. You will then be reimbursed for the deposit you paid.
Moving out outside the opening hours of the MPI reception
If you wish to move out outside the opening hours of the reception of your MPI or on a Saturday, Sunday or bank holiday, please drop the key in the mailbox at the main entrance of your MPI. If you do not know how to find it, please ask the colleagues at the reception.
Please do not forget your deposit. You should retrieve it on the last working day, before your departure.
If you wish to move out earlier than initially planned, please inform Guesthouse Admin as soon as possible, but at least 7 days in advance.
Extension of stay
The possibility to extend your stay depends on the availability of your apartment or other vacancies in the guesthouse.
If you wish to extend your stay, please inform Guesthouse Admin as soon as possible.
Please keep in mind that you can only stay for a maximum of 3 months.
